Summary: My son and I stayed to spend the week at EAA Airventure. The location was great for that as it's about 10 miles from the EAA grounds. The house appears older and could use some updating but was comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The two beds we used were comfortable, though slightly firmer than what we are used to. The kitchen was well appointed with cooking implements and dishes, though we didn't do any cooking during our stay. We did have one issue worth mentioning. The house has a yellow jacket problem. There were a few flying around inside when we checked in. I mentioned it to Mike and he said he had just had the property sprayed and that he would provide some spray for us to use. He promptly delivered a can of Raid. Unfortunately, we needed to use it daily (morning and evening) to kill 3-6 yellow jackets (total of 25-30 during the stay) that had gotten in the house. Fortunately we're not allergic to bees/wasps and we weren't stung during our stay, so we just dealt with it. However, had that not been the case, finding alternative lodging for EAA would have likely been impossible. Assuming this issue is fully addressed, I would consider staying here again, but I'll definitely get confirmation of it prior to booking.
